Provider comparison

GlobalStacks vs Coolify

Coolify is an excellent general-purpose self-hosting panel for deploying Docker applications and Compose services. GlobalStacks is the stronger fit when a customer-owned fleet needs governed product operations, not only deployment automation.

Coolify

When Coolify fits

Best fit
Developers and small teams that want a polished UI for quickly deploying Docker applications, Compose stacks, databases, and a broad catalog of one-click services on Linux servers.
Pricing
Coolify offers self-hosted and cloud options; review its current plans for exact subscription details.
GPU
Coolify supports Docker deployment configuration; hardware and GPU availability depend on the connected server and application configuration.
Important tradeoff
Coolify is the more mature and simpler choice for a single server or a straightforward Docker Compose deployment. Its broad service catalog and Compose-first workflow are a better fit when product governance, isolated environments, and agent-managed infrastructure are unnecessary.

GlobalStacks

When to choose GlobalStacks

Choose GlobalStacks when application delivery must be paired with outbound connected agents, typed and auditable host operations, explicit runtime placement, policy-scoped network access, and an installable product lifecycle across customer-owned infrastructure.

Platform subscription and BYO

One organization subscription across Studio, Products, and Infra: $10 per month with an annual commitment, billed monthly, or $12 with monthly flexibility.

Five BYO host slots and unlimited clusters are included. Additional hosts cost $2.50 per month with an annual commitment or $3 with monthly flexibility; workloads on eligible hosts are not metered.

Shared managed pricing

Planned annual-commitment rates: $0.08 per active vCPU-hour, $0.04 per reserved vCPU-hour, $0.01 per GiB-hour of memory, $0.10 per GiB-month of persistent storage, and $0.05 per GB of external network. Flexible-month rates are $0.096, $0.048, $0.012, $0.12, and $0.06 respectively.

Dedicated managed pricing

Provider infrastructure is passed through at cost. Management is 20% with a $25 monthly minimum per host on an annual commitment, or 24% with a $30 minimum on monthly flexibility. CPU and memory are not metered within the host.

Private mesh included

GlobalStacks includes a managed private mesh for encrypted control-plane, agent, and backend traffic across eligible GS-hosted and customer-owned hosts. Public traffic still enters through explicit ingress; customers do not have to run or configure a separate mesh service for the standard path.

Fair feature comparison

Where each platform is the better choice.

Where Coolify is stronger

  • Deploys applications as Docker containers from Git, Docker images, or Docker Compose, with Nixpacks as the default application builder.
  • Provides a large, curated one-click service catalog and integrates those services with its SSL and backup features.
  • Offers a direct, familiar model for Linux servers: Coolify connects to remote servers over SSH and each server handles its own application traffic.

Where GlobalStacks is stronger

  • Uses customer execution agents that connect outbound and receive typed operations, rather than making product behavior depend on a control-plane SSH path.
  • Treats placement, runtime approval, network policy, secrets, and audit records as first-class control-plane concerns across a customer-owned fleet.
  • Builds toward product installation: source connection, approved dependencies, separate environments, data services, explicit egress consent, health verification, and recovery instead of only a container deployment.

Where GlobalStacks is weaker

  • GlobalStacks is not the quickest path to an arbitrary Docker Compose stack; Coolify keeps the Compose file as the source of truth and is purpose-built for that workflow.
  • Coolify has a substantially broader ready-to-deploy service catalog today.
  • For a single VPS, Coolify has a smaller operational and conceptual footprint than a connected-agent platform.

Decision guide

Pick the model that matches your workload.

Choose GlobalStacks when Studio and Product workloads need to run across your own hosts, private networks, shared managed capacity, or customer-exclusive managed servers. One organization subscription includes Studio, Products, Infra, five BYO hosts, and unlimited clusters.

Combine BYO, shared managed, and dedicated managed infrastructure across development, staging, production, and burst capacity without changing the control-plane model.

The same model includes private encrypted mesh traffic for eligible control-plane, agent, and backend paths. Public exposure remains an explicit ingress decision rather than a side effect of joining the mesh.
